My friend Nicola and I love the Olive Garden. Yes it’s cheasy. Yes it’s a chain. But we love it. Who can’t get enough of those breadsticks and salad! Yum. With this in mind we decided to try out Pasta Pomodoro @ the West Hollywood GateWay. A friend of ours from work works nights there and he recommeneded it.

I do have to say that the food is cheap. Real cheap. But you get what you ask for. I ordered the Spicy Spagetti with Meatballs. It was nothing special at all. In fact I think the pasta was a little overcooked because it was hard and chewy. Pasta shouldn’t taste like that! The meatball was pretty tasteless too. The only highlights of the dinner were the italian bread (how can you go wrong) with oil and vinegar, and the iced tea!

The iced tea was especially good because I asked for Mango Iced Tea and they prepare it with the flavored syrups they used the for specialty latte’s. I wish the iced tea was enough to give this restaurant a “thumbs up” but unforuntately it isn’t! Nicola and I will stick to our favorite, the Olive Garden for now.
