Marix Tex MexMarix is my favorite Tex Mex restaurant in West Hollywood, and possibly all of Los Angeles so far! The restaurant is located on Flores and Santa Monica Blvd. right behind Basix, which is also owned by the same people, hence the name sounds so much alike. You can definately miss this place if you are driving by Santa Monica Blvd. It’s very well hidden and while there is no parking in sight, they do offer valet parking for reasonable prices.

Since it’s a little secluded it tends to attract a couple of low to medium-level celebrities. Every single time I go on the weekends to Marix, and I go quite a bit, I see Wilson Cruz there, who will forever be known as playing Ricky in My So Called Life. It’s a great spot to get some drinks, have great food at very decent prices and since the majority of the restaurant is outdoors you can enjoy the breezy nights of West Hollywood.

I was so happy to find this place, my roommate suggessted it when she first moved in. Since moving to LA I was promised all kinds of good mexican food and honestly I think I’m just a Tex Mex kind of guy because every plate here does it for me everytime! My favorite is the combination platter with the chimichangas! My favorite! The fajitas and the steak tostadas are yummy too!
