Hamburger Mary’s (KoBe Beef Burgers!)
In most major cities in America with a strong gay presence you’ll find a Hamburger Mary’s chain. Think Fridays with a gay twist. The one in West Hollywood is located @ 8288 Santa Monica Blvd. The West Hollywood chain isn’t the biggest and liveliest but they have a nice little outdoor patio where you can watch the boys go by on Santa Monica Blvd. The food at Hamburger Mary’s is pretty much the same except for a couple of unique dishes that each individual place has. The food overall is very good for a burger joint.
The nachos are my all-time favorite. The restaurant in West Hollywood will server regular beef hamburgers or kobe beef. If you don’t know what kobe beef is, it’s japanase cows that are massaged all their lilfe so that their meat is tender. It sounds very strange but you’ll llike the end result! The best part of Hamburger Mary’s (HM) is their theme nights and the bar which is always packed and has great drink specials.

I’ll have a double order of the Macho Mary, hold the black olives, a barbecue bacon cheeseburger on the Hawaiian bread… not the bun… toasted of course. Some fries with the red stuff sprinkled and cosmo, darlin’.
You know not even the Fort Lauderdale branch has the red stuff sprinkled on the fries anymore. They totally sold out that way! I’m more of a sloppy Mary with the cilli running down the side! Yummy.
